DOIY

The assignment consists of designing a stand for the giftware company DOIY, with the requirement that it be adaptable to all trade fairs taking place in different European cities throughout 2019.

The stand must therefore adjust to the varying conditions of each fair while being able to display the entire DOIY 2019 collection. To achieve this, an open system is proposed, consisting of an assembly of 45x45mm pine wood slats, forming a wooden framework that serves as a support structure for all program requirements (brand neon signs, plants, shelves, objects, etc.).

Depending on the characteristics of each fair, the enclosure can be both vertical and horizontal or configured to present the products as a surface close to the visitor. The assembly process is simplified as much as possible to minimize construction time (two days), ensure easy transport, and enable reversibility (assembly-disassembly-reassembly).

Ultimately, this is a highly adaptable system composed of pine wood slats of varying lengths, with joints articulated through overlapping rather than end-to-end connections, secured by mechanical fastenings. This creates a three-dimensional structure capable of adjusting to the changing layout of the exhibition volumes.

Interchangeable display surfaces are defined, with a fixed depth and variable widths of 1, 2, 3, or 4 modules. Given the diversity of the objects to be exhibited, the system must allow for maximum variability in arrangement, and even be easily modified throughout the exhibition days.
